We are looking to fill a dynamic role as our first Midwest Business Development to help IPMG expand its insurance products and services in the Midwest territory but focusing on AR, MO, KS, IL and Western TN. This individual is responsible for building relationships with new and existing retail agents to find opportunities to grow IPMG’s brokerage worker’s compensation business and to cross sell other IPMG products and services. Responsibilities also include developing relationships with independent agent customers, marketing, visiting agency force, exhibiting at trade shows and helping grow the revenue for this territory. Some reviewing and underwriting new business, managing new business for quality and profitability, working closely with brokers, underwriters, account managers and carriers on renewals and new accounts may be involved. This role operates remotely from either MO or western TN in a self-directed workflow as well as under direct administration from Brokerage Management.

You will review, analyze, and price all types of WC business and spend time educating our agents on other insurance products and services provided by IPMG and participate in carrier outings and state trade shows.

Experience in insurance or a college degree, be pretty awesome at Microsoft Office Programs and proficiency with an insurance policy management system (i.e. AIM) and Hubspot and comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment and have or be ready to quickly get your Insurance Producer’s License for Casualty and Fire – IPMG will pay for this!


Position is full-time, nonexempt. Salary range is $50,000-$70,000


IPMG’s core hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and any flexibility around that schedule must be approved by management. We work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as essential functions demand.
